In 1936, Quaid-e-Azam met with the officers and men of the Royal Air Force of Muslims in Lahore. He was very eager to discuss their progress and participation in the Air Force. He urged them to work hard and acquire the knowledge necessary for the maintenance of flight and aircraft. This reflects his interest in air power and its emerging potential.
Pakistan Air Force has been fortunate to have received special attention from the Quaid. PAF Base Masroor then known as Mauripur has the unique distinction of welcoming the Quaid in August 1947, when he flew in the Dakota viceroy to undress the Governor General of an independent Pakistan. People from all walks of life thronged Mauripur to take a look at his "Messiah of the promised land."
As Quaid off the plane, accompanied by his sister, Fatima Jinnah and Miss MAY 'her radiant face of joy, shouting Pakistan Zindabad, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, rent the air. A wave of enthusiasm swept across the floor. People broke the cords in place by police and rushed to the aircraft. The Quaid stopped at the last step of the bridge of the aircraft and with a wave of his hand, indicating the crowd behind the barriers. They withdrew instantly, as if they had been pushed by a magic wand. The lesson of discipline was taken to the house.
It was amazing prescience of Quaid who convinced the inseparable link between survival and air force would ensure the security of Pakistan in the shadow of neighboring implacable enemy. It was his love of PAF, 13 April 1948 led to the flight school in Risalpur FORD despite his poor health.
Accompanied by his sister Fatima Miss Jinnah, the father of the nation came to Risalpur. He was received by Air Marshal Asghar Khan, who was the flight training school and Commander Wing Commander FORD and examined the military ceremony that included flights second, third, fourth and fifth (P) Course Cadet GD.
As Quaid stood before the small band of worship officers and cadets of PAF, Air Force of the young nation, despite his poor health, the air resounded with his famous speech which became a source of inspired by PAF in the trials and tribulations to come. You must be quoted in full. He said:
"I am well aware of the evolution of air in other countries and that my Government is determined that the Royal Air Force of Pakistan will not be left behind.
The Royal Pakistan Air Force began with few assets except loyalty and determination to succeed. But the Royal Pakistan Air Force is taking shape; this school only formed seven months is a worthy example.
I know they are short staffed, but I understand recruitment is alive and good materials advances. To fill the gaps in time, volunteers from the Royal Canadian Air Force are proposed and are welcome.
I also know that you are short of aircraft and equipment, but they are making efforts to acquire the equipment and controls necessary for modern aircraft have also been placed.
But aircraft and personnel in all the figures are of little use unless there is a team spirit within the Air Force and the strict sense of the queen discipline. I urge you to remember that only the discipline and self worth can Royal Pakistan Air Force Pakistan.
I am pleased to learn of the progress the school has made and as desired by the commander and I call air from today 'The Royal Pakistan Air Force College. Thank you all and wish her school and every success. "
It was the text of the speech in Risalpur. Paragraph of his speech on the occasion of his first visit to an opening of the unit of Royal Pakistan Air Force should also be cited. I said: -
"There is no doubt that countries without a strong air force is to thank you for any aggressor. Pakistan must build its air force as quickly as possible. There has to be an effective force the same and should take its place corresponds with the Army and Navy in securing the defense of Pakistan. "
These stirring words rightly been enshrined in the creed of the Pakistan Air Force.
Quaid imposing personality radiated courage and dynamism and inspiring words serve as a beacon of strength in the PAF, even today.
In the years of training, each officer, aviator, cadets and civilian Air Force worked with tireless and unending desire to build PAF effort. Quaid's dream to insuperable PAF, not long to become a reality and the nation today is justly proud of its air force as an impenetrable shield the country's airspace.
Address successively applied in determining PAF continues the task of building the arm of the nation's air force with force. In line with the aspirations of the Quaid, we all PAF corresponds to indicate the Quaid confidence in our ability to serve Pakistan with courage and dignity and make a credible deterrent against potential adversaries PAF.
It is a unique match after receiving the first salvo in the territory of Pakistan in August 1947 PAF Base Mauripur the Quaid said his ultimate salvation also a basis of PAF. When he began his final flight PAF base in Quetta Samungli do 14:00 September 11, 1948, Fatima Jinnah Jinnah in his book.
